1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or placing an order at tuemmlerandharris.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Products and Commissions

All items sold by Tuemmler & Harris are handmade by hand in Maine. No factories, no outsourcing. We offer two types of purchases:

• Hat commissions: custom hats blocked and finished by hand by Sean Tuemmler.
• Fine leather purse commissions: custom purses hand-stitched and finished by Ethan Harris.
• In-stock items: finished pieces available for immediate purchase.

Because our items are handmade, minor natural variations are inherent and expected. We will not ship any item that does not meet our quality standards.

3. Commission Timeline

Custom commissions require time to source materials and construct the piece. Timelines vary based on complexity and current workload, typically several weeks to a few months. We will communicate timeline estimates during the commission process. If you have questions about current wait times, please contact us before placing an order.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Buy-now-pay-later options (Affirm) may be available for qualifying orders.

For quoted commissions, a Stripe invoice will be sent to your email once the price is agreed upon. Payment is due within the timeframe stated on the invoice.

5. Returns and Refunds

Please review our Return Policy for full details. In summary: in-stock items may be returned within 30 days of receipt in unworn, unused condition. Previously owned items are sold as-is and are not eligible for returns. Commissions may be cancelled before work begins.

6. Accounts

You may create an account using your email address or by signing in with Google or Facebook. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including text, photographs, designs, and branding, is the property of Tuemmler & Harris and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Tuemmler & Harris is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or purchase of our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Tuemmler & Harris operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
